While daily kolams are often just white, adding a kaavi border (often on top of a "Maa Kolam" or rice paste design) indicates a special day, festival, or a sacred, welcoming decoration.

This handcrafted wooden step shelf is a celebration of Indian artistry and the timeless charm of Pichwai traditions. Each tier is adorned with a blooming lotus, painted in soft pinks and greens, symbolizing purity, grace, and the quiet strength that rises from within. The lotus becomes the heart of the piece — a serene focal point that anchors the entire design.

Framing the lotus on every side are embellished Pichwai cows, rendered in delicate relief and hand‑painted with festive reds, golds, and whites. These sacred cows — inspired by the devotional art of Nathdwara — bring a sense of abundance, protection, and auspicious energy.
